Batman (2016) starts off quite lame and gave a bad impression of Rebirth to me

So two characters are introduced at the end of Issue 1. Gotham and Lady Gotham, two Superman-ish 80s Batman characters. They have super strength etc..

Batman doesn't trust em but Gordon wants the help, which is kinda overkill.

They're not written with much depth, but since John's wrote Superboy Prime in one week why not?

Teenage whiny people like Red Hood without the intellect in 2016's, although Lady Gotham's explanation of stuff was alright.

Too many Gotham puns on saving Gotham.

"You took my bit on theatricality a bit... TOO seriously, didn't you?" -Ra's Al Ghul, Batman Begins

Frank Miller's Holy Terror review

I wonder if it was censored, because it wasn't as anti-Muslim as I hear his Batman comic got. Sure, it shows a stereotype, but there are type of people that were like that and even Frank Miller's Fixer character wasn't even a real pure hero anyway.

Flashpoint: Batman seems to be a great entry into the 52 multiverse

Thomas Wayne seems a bit more comic booky than in the Dini/Timmverse version, and a lot more is explored than sharing the spotlight with many in a 90 minute film. Really cool.
Also, unfortunately, this also makes the Joker Martha Wayne even more forced in the film, as it was obviously a lame attempt to snag fans from this series, even though it's minor and even distracting to Flash's story in Flashpoint. I definitely would've edited Martha Joker out.

Wayne seems more in tune with Gordon and uses his wealth a lot better than Bruce. Thomas is older and has more experience with the expenses.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #9 Boom review

Rita looked like she had the power of the Dinozords to wreck the city, but maybe I lost an issue. I think it was actually her control of the Black Dragon that had her vs the rest of the Rangers. It's one of those Evangelion-ish monsters, that the BOOM Comics writers promised and I am satisfied with.

Billy converses with Goldar on where Goldar wants to have his powers. The development of both characters here is quite enjoyable.

They use a device from the Dragonzord to give the Rangers back their powers. They form the Green Power Rangers, Green clad Rangers with powers of the Green Power Coin but with their original dinozords. The Rangers morph in one brief scene. The fight isn't shown regretably, but what have you?

Green Lantern (2011) review 5 years later

The Dark Knight Rises and Avengers came out the next year.

They say he's Hal Jordan, but he is and isn't.
He's not really a convincing military man but is a good generic Hanna Barbera hero.

He's not even a convincing Ryan Reynolds. I don't know if he was miscast, but he didn't play a role he's well known for.

Why does Sinestro become Yellow Lantern in the end?

The visual effects. The shadowing and heads don't fit too well.

It's better than Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer plot wise.
It doesn't seem horrible in a camp, Batman and Robin way. It just seems to have some problems in creating the Green Lantern worlds where they can reimpose.

The concept art looks phenomenal.

The voice acting is top notch.

The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1, "The Day Will Happen When You Won't Be"'s controversy is the whole point of the episode

So they started off this episode with this Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing someone. He wants to  or be some sort of tester or something. Not sure what his whole plan is.
So he kills of one of the main characters.
If you don't want to hear who it is, don't read further and watch the episode first.

He kills off Glenn.
And I have problems with this.
Glenn's been on the show for 7 seasons.
He's the Chinese American actor who's portray a non-stereotype in comparison with Nickelodeon's superhero family suburban show, the Thundermans.
There's been a lot media regarding how he was a Chinese American who was on a big TV show but can't find a lot of work.
Now, he'll have to try and find a lot of work.

If you've never watched the Walking Dead before, would you care that he got killed off? Aren't you going to be annoyed about these fans saying all these things about Glenn?

Sure, he gets a flashback.
But most of the characters can't even talk about him since they'll get killed if they react.

I get that the whole point is, "wow, they killed off a main character."
But even with my background in Power Rangers and soap operas, I prefer story first: why was it a good reason to kill off Glenn? Did it give closure to the character? Is there a thematic reason for his death, etc..

Not the worst thing in the world, but extremely disappointing from a story perspective.

Ultimate Spider-Man vs The Sinister Six: Spider Slayers Part 3

So the episode was about the Spider heroes infiltrating Kaine.
I understand Kaine was dangerous, but making fun of him, while saying at the same time that he was a victim of Doc Ock's experiments, sorta makes you idiotic, illogical, undisciplined and unsympathetic. Too much humor when its to the point.

Now keep in mind that I don't really watch the show.
Venom Spider-Man is dumb, and he's rewarded as a superhero. Kaine is dumb and isn't.
Kaine drains. A really dumb Venom.

Venom shoots.
Venom gets too close. Spider-Man and his cheetoh obsession somehow notices this.

The other Spider Slayers or in other universes Symbiotes/Clones listen to Kaine and Ben.

Scarlet Spider
MJ Spider
Squirrel Girl are the rest of the team.
Yes, Squirrel Girl is in a show about the Clone Wars and dark moments of Kaine. Good job.

This show does sell toys quite well.

Symbiote clones.

There's a ghost Spider-Man for whatever reason doesn't just rip people's hearts out.

The heroes win because of better matchups in the end.

Kaine is enjoyable. The good guys taunt him. He's just sorta does what he wants, without knowing the purpose.
So again, horrible villain made by Disney XD.

Gotham S3 E5

Apparently the Penguin is still a big deal.
I realize Catwoman is 15, but she looks like she's in a Frank Miller/Alan Moore cross fiction.

They go on a hit in a place where a much older Bruce is.

Supergirl S2 E2

Cat's leaving.

Mercy is looking for a new Metallo.

And it's revealed we're back to dumb CBS script writing.
There's radioactivity in the air and no wear was a suit.
No one uses a Geiger counter to find radioactivity early.

Supergirl looks for Alex.
Alex gets captured again.
Mercy is just Maxwell Lord light.

Albert Einstein evil.

They go undercover.

Tie into Flash?

Neal McDonaugh appear.
Atom attempts to defuse a bomb.
League of Assassins girl attempts to fight Neal.
Rory covers from the air.
Rip commands them from afar.

Justice Society of America shows up in the end.

Supergirl, S2E1, "The Adventures of Supergirl" first half hour review

That cheesy, thanks cuz as Superman and Girl save a downed plane was pretty bad but in a good way At least it was enjoyable compared to Clarissa Flockhart's character last year.
And Mercy being in the show, makes it fit better than say a lot of boring soap opera stuff.

I missed the ending of last season so I'm unsure of what happened to J'onn Jones, Cyborg Superman or if there was a comeback for Red Tornado or any other villains.

Best possible ending for Direct to DVD: "Death in the Family"

You get to choose whether Robin gets to live or die in the DVD options.
It was basically the whole premise of the original comic where the result was determined by hotline.

Suicide Squad 2 wiki update 8 16 16

In March 2016, it was announced that Warner Bros. would bring Ayer and Smith back for a sequel, to be shot in 2017. The following month, Ayer expressed an interest in making the sequel R-rated Fukuhara has stated that she wants to explore Katana's backstory in the sequel.

Ayer would be a great idea.
Smith, I guess cuz of star power and everyone praising for whatever reason.
I don't know about Katana, but if you're going to use her, give her more of a story.

10 Dumb things in Suicide Squad, the 2016 film

  1. Deadpool's daughter. Why do I give a shit? In a movie about antiheroes, you make Deadpool basically a good guy outside of his headhunting, which is basically what Rick Flagg does anyway.
  2. Harley Quinn's character at certain point of the film: it really made it hard to get into. I understood certain parts that she was supposed to be a woman obsessed with the Joker. But when she had to keep doing the puns, get strapped in by the police, go down at the Joker's strip bar, and keep supposedly joking about death, where there was no punchline, it really seemed to be elementary fanfiction.net garbage attempts at looking cool rather than being cool.
  3. Machines: Why does the Enchantress not like machines? Commercialism? Henry Ford and the Assemblyline? Lack of human evolution due to reliance on other objects? I guess she might've mentioned that they didn't praise the Enchantress and her brother as Gods anymore. But so what?
  4. The Flagg-Enchantress romance. Your top arm and a being consuming one of your staff are together and you don't keep tabs on them? I understand that she teleports, and that Waller's character is supposed to be that of a right wing incompetent, but this just seemed obvious, elementary and stupid.
  5. June says choose between killing the enchantress over saving her. But he needs the Enchantress for his job and I don't get her reasoning for wanting to kill the enchantress. She's part of her body, she'll die without the Enchantress, they both have the same job anyway, (to serve Waller,) and Rick Flagg himself is a mercenary, so he's no better than the Enchantress anyway.
  6. Harley Quinn cell. I understand this is supposed to be for humor, but where DID she get a cell phone to call the Joker?
  7. Boy Slipknot was smart trying to escape in a Battle Royale ripoff.
  8. Why did they introduce Harley Quinn's powers near the end of the film? Also, Batman knocking her out makes the Metahuman Acme Chemicals explanation questionable.
  9. Rick Flagg calls Deadshot a serial killer with credits. Rick Flagg is no better again, and gets paid by Waller to kill people just like Deadshot does.
  10. Killing Harley Quinn. What does Waller gain from Killing Harley Quinn in the film? She'd lose a bargaining chip against Deadshot, by giving him something he wants over a woman who just ran away and could be recaptured. Harley joined later anyway making that point even worse. Their mission was to defeat the Enchantress and save the world, having nothing to do with Harley Quinn. A helicopter shoots them down later anyway, so there was no point testing Deadshot.

Suicide Squad 2016 film thoughts

So I watched Suicide Squad. Should've been like a Reservoir Dogs meets Battle Royale with DC characters. But because of the edit a classic was ruined. So it's hard to grade other than that it can't be five stars.

This was sort of a weird movie with a reaction that was about as weird to me as people were to Batman vs Superman. In Batman vs Superman, a lot of people cited petty reasons to dislike the film like useless cameos, or some bs, whereas the real problem was that Batman's supposed to be an anti-Batman savior, but ends up killing more people than Superman does. In Suicide Squad, some people love the movie, some people hate the movie, and I again disagree with both sides, as I don't believe either side to be right. People complain of a lame villain, like Will Smith playing the protagonist, not having enough Joker, etc.. Meanwhile, I do agree however with one topic.

It could've been more consistent with the post-production works, rivaling that of Scott Pilgrim, but maybe it would've distracted like 60s Batman. Also, the awesome sets in themselves tell a good story too.

I mean it's sorta not even a movie technically, considering how much the original work got chopped up.

The soundtrack is great, although I don't know why they used that Eminem track.

Everyone keeps saying Deadshot's the main character, but I sorta hated his storyline so much that it didn't matter. The film was sorta weird. No real main character. So ensemble-y that there didn't seem to be a protagonist. Will Smith probably agreed to do the film if he was the lead, which is weird, since this seems to be a film that at least SHOULD'VE BEEN too violent for his tastes (NOT TRUE cuz of I am Legend,) but they fucked up censoring it later anyway. My colleagues try and write excuses for his daughter wanting to save Batman over him, but I just thought it was poor probably post-edit writing in a film, where Harley Quinn is used for torture porn. Deadpool doesn't want to shoot the good guy? The good guy just used his daughter against him, possibly in a plot with Amanda Waller according to my colleagues.

Amanda Waller I felt was fairly good. She was always a character of right wing ignorance and played that way here. A bit of humor with her logic actually helped her character than most critics gave: people- politicians, people of power have these logic holes all the time in real life and really made her character more realistic, which is sorta regretable, since she softens up by the end of the film for no reason.

Harley Quinn herself was a bit debatable. She doesn't have much of an arc although her coping of people outside of the Joker was a bit of something.

Also, they sorta implied that she was a metahuman WAAY after she was introduced making the story very confusing. (Her flashback includes a scene where she goes into ACME chemicals.)

A lot of Quinn's humor isn't really humor. It's like Adam Sandler, Marlon Wayans, Disaster movie "jokes," that aren't witty, are out of place and in this case, sorta actually very mentally ill and disturbin that belong on fanfiction.net. Pink Ranger stories with Tortura.

I hear a lot of complaints about The Joker not being in the movie, but I swear he was in the film at least five times. That being said, he's horribly written. Part of the problem may be has no antagonist to fight. Part of the problem is that since they didn't go NC-17 with the film they had to edit out his scene where he displays his character torturing Harley Quinn, which would've explained some of what did his character tick. But whatever, censor that, but not him saying he wants to torture her, or that he wants to, my main concern for the film.

The Joker's men have some sort of furry hat fetish or pretend they're Batman.

El Diablo had a good arc of wanting to be in control of his powers, although there may be a ripoff of Mystique's "then don't" (control.)
His henshin was a good surprise and added excitement to the film. His effects were really well done.

I liked Katana where she was just a loyal henchmen of Waller and Flagg, but when they give her this storyline about having a dead husband in her blade, it really bogged down her character, since it didn't really have anything to do with the film, albeit like Enchantress and Harley, this could've been incorporated into a stronger theme. Her whole thing was that she was a cold blooded person of the military with some sort of mystical origin compared to that of Flagg's.
Also, she takes off her mask too?! She's not Will Smith. She ain't no 5 star celebrity. No one needs to see her face.

The Enchantress was a lot better than most people said:
Also I didn't quite get why everyone didn't like the Enchantress as the villain:
Human: she's a love interest for Rick Flagg. They could've done a parallel with Harley and her but whatever. I'm not rating it 5/5 anyway.
Witch: her whole thing is about taking over with her species. The culture involved is way more interesting than lame Nazi ripoff HYDRA who rarely have origin. (Although other segments of this film have this problem too as the DCEU has problems with keeping within their universe or convincingly using real life references such as Phil Jackson, Iran and terrorism.) Her antimachine thing is lame too, but they told the story about Enchantresses species in two seconds that Marvel hasn't done with HYDRA in like 4 movies

The use of Batman was really good, capturing the Suicide Squad. Not so much for the Flash, but he changed it up a bit at least. Confusing for Batman though, was that they have that whole cameo in the end, which confuses if the Justice League are good guys or not, helping out Waller.
Surprised no Batman with Croc, albeit I don't know what he would do about Croc, albeit Batsy beat up metahuman Harley.

Killer Croc didn't have much of a character other than being a comedic badass mutant, but who cares? He's a supporting character. No need to give him anymore than that. Short and sweet.

Captain Boomerang was basically a Nagi, a joke of a character where his only trait is how useless he was. It's a funny joke though. He barely even uses his Boomerangs in the film.

As I'm done with the characters, I'd like to discuss the plot. It isn't really a plot, more of a mission to save the world.

Very non spoiler mush review of Steven Speilebrg's the BFG

It is the most Spielbergian film I have ever seen. nits more unmovative than the Jungle Book and will still be there likely end of the year. The cinematography doesn't tell a story as well as Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Creepy or Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups.
It has so much homage to the rest of Spielberg's work.
I had no idea what the film was about. The wiki mentioned Giants eating humans and it being a Roald Dahl work but that didn't do the work justice or describe the innovation if the film.

Quick question: why was Return of the Jedi in X Men Apocalypse?

First let's go over the scene.
The film zooms in on a movie theatre listing it has return of the Jedi in it.
Jubilee mentions it couldn't beat Empire
Someone else mentions the first starting the franchise
How often is there a good third entry in the film?
This was a real meta postmodern moment

It was an 80s thing.
Sets up that the film takes place around 1983.

My first reaction was it was a really dumb moment:

Scott was really obnoxious setting up this scene. It was so short and I thought it had nothing to do with the film. And didn't add to the plot. I didn't really care for any of these new character Amy first few viewings.

First off it gives the characters something to do

The former CBS FOX I believe owned a part of the original Star Wars film. I recall owning the trilogy on VHS where they were all CBS FOX

Apocalypse the third entry in the franchise
The word apocalypse always being associated with the end. In this case the end of a trilogy

It also sets up that this is a 1980s like blockbuster well established due to its 80s soundtrack due to sweet dreams, and its great original score.

In addition, there is the theme of family,
Magneto listens before gaining his.
Quicksilver is on a journey to save his father, both physically and morally
Magneto uses a magnetic telekinesis like a force push much like Apocalypse.
Magneto is an antihero seduced by the dark side.
Apocalypse is a member of an ancient religion, a master who knows the way.
Apocalypse had apprentices.
Apocalypse had children.
Xavier had children.
Moira Mactaggert lost a husband.

Oscar Isaac, new Star Wars cast member plays Apocalypse.

Star Wars is popular again now The current time everyone watches the film

Why not product place?
Illuminati confined

Superhero film news, 6/25/16

  • Deadpool appears in X-Men: Apocalypse trailer in Japan
Makes sense considering how big Deadpool was in the Box Office. People want more Deadpool.
  • Deadpool 2 likely to film early 2017
  • Kevin Conroy appeared confident with his interview with Jessica Smith for the Killing Joke. He wished he would never lose it.

More Batgirl.
He wanted to do a musical.

  • 16.8 Million ID4 2 Friday
I don't know why everyone expected a franchise with only one movie to make $100 million on the first week. Luckily it only has a budget of $168 million.
  • Spider-Man Homecoming crew wants to make Silver Sable movie.

I sorta don't get the point of that when Marvel works with Sony and basically does everything anyway. They don't have one movie yet, and there was no Silver Sable element in Civil War, so what was the point?

Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles 2 gripe second time I watch

Before everyone was like TMNT 2. Sure, it's not as bad as TMNT 3, but definitely not as good as TMNT 1.
That friggin babies scene with Shredder and the mutants really ruined it for me. It was obviously one or those producers appeal to kids. And although I didn't get that TMNT 1 was a dark film, I still never really laughed at that scene and absolutely hated it as an adult. Bad move by the crew.

The Pros and Cons of the Summers in X-Men Apocalypse (third viewing)

Pro:
They're introduced.
They don't ruin the story.
They don't take too much time up in the story for its main characters: Xavier, Magneto and Mystique.
Scott and Jean like each other. Simple. Let's not get into it.
Alex dies. Scott reacts.
Scott vs Storm leaders homage to comics.
Jean defeats Apocalypse, setting up the next film, adding some curiosity to her character.

Con:
The character usage is way worse than any Avengers film other than the first one and I'm including the overrated Civil War film.
Jean defeating Apocalypse makes no sense since she's barely introduced, barely in the franchise, barely has her powers.
Jean fighting Psylocke would've added a bit since they're both psychics.

The Batman Season 1 Episode 1 opening scene directing critcisim

It starts off with a shot of a building looking like that done by the Godzilla/Men In Black cartoon creators.

The original Paul Dini Batman was great, cuz everything was dark and you couldn't see stuff clearly.
The roll over to the shot of Batman's shadow, showing where is plainly, and even drawing your attention to it with the camera movement, a camera movement in a digital animated work mind you.

Then they pan through from statues, before shooting a batarang, with the camera going back to the batarang, without the batarang surprising or even giving a scare.

It sorta reminds me of going for 90s Spider-Man to Spectacular in terms of storytelling.
It may even be a 1920s pulp direction.

Random ass criminals jump in the air like superheroes.

Cartoony sound effects, but made darker than like 60s Batman.
This may also have a TMNT 00s feeling too.

The voice acting is really good though.
I like the shot of Batman fighting in the darkness with occassional light showing up. Good way to cheapen the budget too, without making it obvious. Made it look cooler even.

Again, I didn't see it as something that could've been played off as Star Wars, although this was inspired by pulps obviously.

The criminal makes a joke to splitting the take with Batman. Why should we care that this criminal is given a take? Despite being a main character in the Batman comics, there is no development for his character in this opening minute of this episode.

Kung fu sequence is cut short, instead giving us this water tower in a muddy green screen sky.

Also note, if you don't notice this stuff, it's fine. But if you hate this show, you'll love what I'm saying.

You see Batman's foot when he shows up.

Captain America: Civil War review

Iron Man does a presentation.

Thunderbolt Ross discusses with the Avengers.

Peggy Carter has passed on.

An African leader is assassinated.

People claim Bucky is behind this.

Capt saves Bucky. I wonder if it's developed. I wonder if Slovoka is described properly.

Scarlet Witch and Vision discuss their roles as villains.

Black Panther is done well.

But Spider-Man is bleh. He comes in way too late in the movie. Makes fun of

Ant Man has no purpose other than a cameo. They could've used his whole criminal background.
He's brought in too late too.
At least he sides with Capt.

Hawkeye brainwashed.

Black Witch vs Hawkeye

Scarlet Witch starts as an emo US teen.
Then Scarlet Witch dresses up anyway.
Scarlet Witch vs Vision? Tony Stark I guess.

I sorta prefer even really bad 2000s Marvel Bucky over the stuff they do with him post-First Avenger.
They turned him way too quick without ever giving any hints as to Capt believing that Bucky was anything other than a cool guy who stood up for him. I never really saw an acting moment where the two connected and instead sorta just saw Bucky as a supporting character.

Overall, still way better than Batman v Superman, although the cameos in that film were way exaagerated compared to the absolute failures in this film.

25 Reasons why Batman vs Superman worked

Everything Right With Batman v Superman
1 Batman is popular. Superman is popular. Batman and Superman are popular
2 It's an expensive movie. The Batman vs Superman fight looks like it was done with many $100,000/year computer people.
3 People generally don't care about philosophical stuff anyway, so when Batman talks about Superman having too much power then goes murdering people, they probably don't observe.
4 Prior to screwing that up, they did do a really good job at establishing those themes.
5 Comic book geeks have become the majority. They don't read about Thomas Pynchon books or do actual academic stuff. They watch this kind of garbage to seem cool and smart and then complain about why people don't agree with them, even if they can't really defend their points or understand theirs well. I'm probably included in some section of this checklist as well.
6 A lot of famous people are in this movie
7 The director of Watchmen directed this movie
8 The director of Watchmen directed this movie, which everyone was assuming was going to be based on the Dark Knight Returns
9 Expensive 4D tickets exist now
10 The economy is back
11 Inequality is back, mental illness isn't getting fixed, education has a lot of problems, where students go to school some hours less, etc..
12 The origin story was kept to a minimum. This is in direct contrast to Man of Steel which was a Christopher Nolan influenced superhero film that was inspired by his Farewell My Concubine-ish biographical take on Batman in 2005.
13 Not everyone thinks Batman shouldn't be allowed to shoot someone
14 Zack Snyder believes that he's doing The Dark Knight Returns Batman so everyone else should too.
15 Lois Lane was done well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI_moaVShMs
16 A DC Movie Universe doesn't have to be innovative, just a trend.
17 Pop culture is big
18 People like bad movies
19 Superman dying sets up Justice League well.
20 Jennifer Lopez and Electra weren't in this movie
21 DC Fanboys
22 As weird as the Wilhelm scream Hot Wheel Toys Batmobile stunts were, it wasn't like a Z-rated movie where a 40 year old man dubs a 4 year old girl. So there is that much good to say about the film.
23 It's enjoyable if you don't think too much about it
24 It's enjoyably bad
25 (Also a con,) you get to see Batman shoot a lot of people
*No one wants to see Batman and Superman fail

X-Men Apocalypse post MTV Movie Award trailer thoughts

Before with X-Men: Apocalypse, there was the themes of religion and origin. Now we dwelve into Xavier and fatherhood of his school of gifted children. Apocalypse is a man, I mean mutant who can take it all from him. Are his students his children or Apocalypse's? Apocalypse has followers. So does Xavier.Again, Magneto is lost from Xavier, and this time Magneto is the protege, destroying all humans. It's a cool use of time, which I think will be a big theme in the movie. The time travel stuff in Days of Future Past was cool, so why not? Good hood and false gods seem to be an interesting theme.
Did Apocalypse form the X-Men with his genes in the Genesis era of the bible? Or is he a false god telling lies for millions of years?

Mystique commands the X-Men in a scene. She seems to have grown as well. She fights Psylocke.

Havoc and Quicksilver are involved as well as William Stryker. Havoc and Cyclops are in the movie and are brothers in the comics.

Amy Adams as Lois Lane in Batman vs Superman was a great positive

The beginning of a film has a more sinister take on the Lois Lane damsel in distress. She deals with African terrorists after attempting to save them in their world, trying to make an impact.

She doesn't say much about it, but the information is inferred well. I really enjoy what they do with her in the movie.

She's smart enough to go after Lex, showing that she is very intelligent.

It's good that we later see Clark and Lois together, although not much is done with Clark as a character, other than to oppose Batman.

Batman vs Superman review

During the credits, we see Batman's origins, a lot of fades (in JJ Abrams' lens flare-ish quantites). This reminds me of Watchmen but without the 80s music.

Batman is then with a little girl and then watches Superman and his kind destroy a city.

The acting feels a bit soap opera-ish but does have the whole religious theme thing.

Amy Adams captured but a bit darker, no pun intended regarding an African terrrorist she's investigating. She doesn't say much about it, but the information is inferred well. I really enjoy what they do with her in the movie. It's good that we later see Clark and Lois together, although not much is done with Clark as a character, other than to oppose Batman.

The police are afraid of Batman in a great opening scene.

Lex does a bit of technobabble discussing Kryptonite's effects on Kryptonian bodies. This is why better than the technobabble in Fantastic Four despite for the most part discussing totally fictional substances other than the decay term. Silver bullets are an interesting term.

Holly Hunter's character is  vs Superman. She is featured throughout the film, though not much in the end which is regretable. Clark watches on.

Perry opposes Clark's decision to stand up versus Batman.

Gal Gadot is good opposing Clark and standing up for herself.

BIG PROBLEM here.

Now originally there was just the shock of Batman killing people, and KILLING PEOPLE with guns.

And there was like 500 dead bodies on the floor!

But it was a dream.

And then let's discuss later.

However, this was pretty much the segment in the film where I discuss the substance of the film outside of the quality of the religious overtones. and just giving characters a lot of stuff to do.

Taking off Affleck's mask would've been a better introduction to the Batfleck character, not to mention if you're going to give him a mask to put on.

And then there's this segment of dialogue that seems like Snyder stole it from the Room.

Why does Batman hate Superman/ What war? What the fuck is this dialogue about?

How many good guys left? Stayed that way?

Can they please explain what the fuck they're talking about somewhere in this movie?

This is like the scene with florist with better acting.

Wilhelm scream car crash.

Batman kills more people. Car crashes.

Superman stops him.

Nothing happens.

Holly Hunter.

Lane investigates.

Why the fuck does Batman know about Wonder Woman but superhearing Superman doesn't?

Kevin Costner looks really old.

Diane Lane

Batman kidnaps Martha Kent.

Lois confronts Lex.

Lex kidnaps her.

Superman confronts him.

Lex reveals he kidnapped Lois.

Superman kneels.

Batman uses Kryptonite grenades vs Superman.

Superman is weakened and beaten up.

For whatever reason, Batman doesn't kill Superman right then and there cuz he's a main character.

Superman gets some energy back and throws Batman through skyscrapers as if Batman could actually survive them for some odd reason. Snyder again doesn't know what the heck he's doing.

Batman doesn't kill Superman because he knows his mother's name? That would be the exact opposite friggin commie spy.

Batman's a racist. He kills 500 people every day. But your mothers have the same name so whatever.

Martha survives.

The only point she shows up in the film.

How do they even know who Martha is?

Superman has no disguise?

Ugh.

Dawn of Justice?

Doomsday.

US generals says he's unstoppable.

Batman uses Kryptonite.

Wonder Woman saves his life.

Batman and Wonder Woman join forces after Superman's death forming the Justice League. Pretty much the only good idea I recall after that travesty of Batamn action.

I was hoping for Deadshot instead of Batman in the end.

Way to cameo.

Recap:

I like the acting, I like the actors giving something to do, but it could've been better.

Batman had so much potential, but Snyder throws away his character whenever there's an action scene. I honestly think this was a way more interesting, exciting (and unintentionally funny film than Man of Steel, with a lot more meat) but again, there was some miscommunication problems with the crew. A lot of the storytelling just got destroyed when they were given mixed signals or just for the neglect of the story, which I'm guessing was probably Snyder's fault.

Snyder can probably do a fun anime and/or superhero adaptation like FLCL or Deadpool, but I think this genre isn't a good fit for him.

What'd you guys think?

Batman '89 NES review

Fun game.
You're in purple this time. You're smaller than Batman Dynamite. Batman has 3 weapons. The Batarangs I recommend spamming like crazy due to their low cost, and the amount of ammo drop. ou do feel like the Batman throwing all these items.
The gun is useful for long ranged and accurate shots.

You have a life bar.
You can hang on walls.
The game is loved by AVGN and much of the online youtube retro gamer community.

The rocket launcher may do more damage, but I'm unsure.

You press select to pause and start to change weapons.

Holding the jump button allows for higher reach.

You fight these flying guys.

This Batman has more platforming options than Batman Dynamite/Revenge of the Joker.

The intro looks like that of the movie.

The goons look like nothing from the movie.

These flying jetpack dudes will piss you off!

UGH!

Dynamite Batman (Japanese) review

This was a fun game.
Batman wears blue, like in the Silver age, when it was made.
Batman has a fucking gun. As much as Batman fans are going to complain, it's probably an infinite ammo laser gun and good adaptations and sequels do something different.
The platforming and challenge is there.
You go through a narrow set of corridors.
You can shoot through boxes.
There are booby traps.
It gets pretty insane later.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow Episode 6, "Star City 2046"

This was a great episode.
Missing Arrow in 2046
Dystopia
Deathstroke's son
Well he was an insane disappointment.
Firestorm arguing with Atom over scientific stuff.
Bird of Prey blaming herself in front of Rip Hunter and Green Arrow II

Captain Cold doing stuff with the bad side. Maybe a bit campy evil bikers.

Resolution.

Atom vs Firestorm over crushes over Keira Hall.

Reasons why Thor (2011) wasn't the worst movie ever

Chris Hemsworth looked like Thor. He wasn't John Wayne in the Conqueror.
No one died in it like John Wayne in the Conqueror.
The lines are spoke in the right order, although plothole filled.
As much as Loki has been poorly written and spoken of origin (with plotholes) at least we got across that he was not trustworthy.
The CGI for what existed was great, which could lead to a CGI LOTR LOKI film someday.
